Dr. Said K. Boshorbak - Chairman of the QAW Board of Governors

Dr. Said K Boshorbak

Dr. Boshorbak has an extensive background in Education that began by earning his Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Qatar University. He then went on to earn a Master’s in Education Administration from Eastern New Mexico University and his Ph.D in Education Administration from the University of Leeds in the United Kingdom. Dr. Boshorbak has spent thirty years in upper management positions and is currently an Administration Manager for Qatar Petroleum. He is a member of the Senior Management Committee of QChem and a key player in making decisions related to long term plans and strategies of the company.

Dr. Abdullah Mohammed Abu-Tineh

Dr. Abdullah Mohammed Abu-Tineh

Dr. Abu-Tineh is a career educator. He received his undergraduate degree in Education from Yarmouk University in Jordan and his master’s degree in Educational Supervision and Administration from the University of Jordan in 1994. He completed his Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Human Resource Development from Florida State University, Tallahassee in 2003. Dr. Abu-Tineh currently serves as the Director of the National Center for Educator Development and Associate Professor in the Educational Leadership at Qatar University. To date, Dr. Abu-Tineh has published twenty-eight academic papers and three books.

Mr. Mansoor Al-Khater

Mr. Mansoor Al-Khater

Mr. Al-Khater started his career as Assistant Pipeline Engineer at Qatar Petroleum. Following a distinguished twelve-year career at Qatar Petroleum, Mr. Al-Khater joined Qtel as the Executive Director of Group Strategy, in January 2009. Mr. Al-Khater is also a board member of Arabsat, the Qtel representative in Qatar National Broad Band Network Committee and ictQatar Strategy, as well as actively involved in activities of INJAZ Al-Arab. He is currently in the dissertation stage of his Master’s in Business Administration from Hull University.

Mr. Abdulrahman Ali Al-Abdulla

Mr. Abdulrahman Ali Al-Abdulla

Mr. Al-Abdulla graduated from Colorado and entered the Chemical and Petrochemical in Qatar over 20 years ago. He is the Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Chemical and Petrochemical Marketing and Distribution Company, Muntajat. Before his appointment as CEO, he was appointed as Project Director to establish Qatar Chemical and Petrochemical Marketing and Distribution Company. Mr. Al-Abdulla is a board member for the International Chamber of Commerce in Qatar, and Qatar Chemical and Petrochemical Marketing and Distribution company, Muntajat as well as being a member of the India-Qatar High Level Monitoring Mechanism and Egypt-Qatar High Level Monitoring Mechanism and a member of Qatari-Moroccan Business Committee.

Shk. Saoud A.H.A Al-Thani

Shk Saoud A.H.A Al-Thani

Shk. Al-Thani holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals in Saudi Arabia and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Henley Management College at the University of Reading. He currently is the Chief Business Development Officer for Qatar Petroleum International. Shk. Al-Thani has an extensive background in the petroleum industry including engineering, management and leadership.

Pre4 Healthy Habits

October 19 2017

This term, the Pre 4 students had been learning all about making healthy choices, through our unit "Healthy Habits" Students worked hard with their teachers to prepare and create educational presentations that included singing and acting to inform their parents about the healthy choices they want to make everyday regarding food, cleanliness and sleep.
Parents were invited to attend our interactive presentation on Tuesday October 17th. Students presented their songs and skits with great confidence. Teachers and students received great feedback from parents after the show.

QAW students have talent! A number of students from grade 3, 4 and 5 created Solar Art projects using a solar energy component and recycling materials for the Shams Generation Project.
