Al Nafla Celebrations
Event Date: March 15, 2022Event Time: All day Al Nafla day is the middle day of Shaaban, the 8th month of the Islamic year. It comes two weeks before Ramadan and is based on the act of giving and sharing. Before COVID-19, families used to get together to prepare traditional food, and mothers arranged delicious welcoming platters while children watched on. The food is distributed among their neighbors and to the poor. QAW students celebrated the day by wearing traditional clothes and sharing some food with their peers in the same class.
