Grade 5 Graduation 2022
Event Date: August 8, 2022Event Time: All day A very special group of Grade 5 students graduated from the Primary Years Programme (PYP) into the Secondary School to participate in the Middle Years Programme (MYP) of the International Baccalaureate on 13 June 2022 in the QAW Theater. This is the first class since the start of the pandemic in 2020 to have a graduation ceremony to mark this special occasion. Our Fifth Grade Teacher Team did a great job putting together an excellent program hosted by Dana Jumah Mubarak Al-Maadhadi (5A) and Sara Waleed Al-Mulla (5B). The program included a recitation from the Holy Quran by Ahmed Morshed Salah (Grade 4), the Qatar National Anthem performed by the QAW Primary Choir, and speeches by our Primary Principal, Ms. Laurie Barber, and Primary Assistant Principal. Fatima Ibrahim Albaz. A highlight of the ceremony was the speeches from two graduates: Ali Jassim Lari (5C), giving his speech in Arabic, and Meshal Soud Al-Muftah (5D), giving his speech in English. We were also treated to a video of the highlights of the students' journey through the PYP. QAW wishes the students all the best as they move into MYP and congratulate them on their growth and great efforts as PYP student leaders.
